Our Programs
West Town First Fridays
To ensure the organic growth of West Town as Chicago’s emergent gallery district and further unite the neighborhood as a cultural destination, please join us in participating in West Town First Fridays from 6-8PM on the first Friday of every month.
Public Art Program
Our Public Art Program values cultural diversity and takes art out of designated space and places it in the public context to create full accessibility. Through highlighting local, emerging, and established artists; our purpose is to culturally invigorate our vibrant community by enriching the neighborhood with pieces of public art, which will help to stimulate the local economy and establish West Town as a unique cultural destination.
Pop-Up Project
The West Town Pop Up Project offers short-term leases to small businesses interested in testing their retail concepts in a physical space. Through this program, business owners can experience a storefront for three-months while receiving business support, technical assistance, and marketing benefits.
SSA Rebates & Grants
The mission of the West Town SSA is to maintain and improve the shopping, dining, and nightlife within the SSA boundary by providing a cleaner, safer, and more attractive commercial environment for consumers, residents, and business owners.

SSA 29 offers grants and rebates for facade improvements, graffiti prevention/removal, public art, and security related measures.
Exhibition Space
The Member Exhibition Space is a service for WTCC Members seeking an exhibition opportunity not otherwise tenable in their existing location. Through this program, the WTCC provides short term access to gallery space in order for its Members to expand their programming and visibility surrounding their offerings.
Member Grants
The West Town Member Grant program financially supports the successful execution of events conducted by WTCC Members. The goal of this program is to foster partnerships and connections between Member businesses and increase awareness around their offerings amongst consumers and the West Town community at large.
